EVOLFO invoke the cosmic communion of psychedelic unity on “Restless Seed”
Brooklyn psychonauts EVOLFO fearlessly chart a course for the outer fringes of sinister infinity at the liminal intersection of perception and reality on “Restless Seed,” the first single off the band’s upcoming third LP, Of Love.
The single edit of “Restless Seed” is an immediate psychedelic confection that opens with metallic dissonance clanging atop a nebulous groove that billows along lightspeed pathways, decorating the expanding abyss with blooms of marmalade haze and shuffling corduroy percussion. Smoky, detached vocals translate morse-code guitar lines transmitted within esoteric analog ciphers from the unplumbed depths of time and space, preaching salvation from technological shackles and extending an open invitation to experience perpetual communal bliss among the kaleidoscopic foliage of an intergalactic Eden. At under three minutes, EVOLFO offer just a tantalizing tease at the wonders the band has in store for the full-length track, a glimpse behind the shimmering veil that spans the passing moments until the release of the full LP.
Marooned on a wayward world three orbits removed from a garden variety G-Type Main-Sequence star located in an otherwise unremarkable arm of the Milky Way, a lone explorer finds their way through a glowing portal revealing a live performance of the tribal rhythms of Earth’s underground inhabitants. Entranced by the undulating sounds and mesmerizing gyrations of the terrestrial troubadours, the intrepid alien joins the revelry, embraced by a community of like-minded souls gathered in the universal celebration of life’s infinite diversity and infinite combinations.
